You too! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Thank God for everything.

Same to you, Zaff! Happy Thanksgiving to all! I’m just about to eat my Turkey. 😃

Happy Thanksgiving to all and don’t eat to much. After all gluttony is a sin.

Happy Thanksgiving To Everyone!

A Thanksgiving Poem

‘TWAS THE NIGHT OF THANKSGIVING

Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn’t sleep.
I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned–the dark meat and white,
but I fought the temptation with all of my might.

Tossing and turning with anticipation,
the thought of a snack became infatuation.
So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door
and gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.

I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.

I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky
With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.
But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees…
happy eating to all—pass the cranberries, please!

May your stuffing be tasty,
May your turkey be plump.
May your potatoes ‘n’ gravy
Have nary a lump,

May your yams be delicious,
May your pies take the Prize,
May your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off of your thighs.

May your Thanksgiving be blessed!!

From Wikipedia I understand that the Thanksgiving day has no religious background and has nothing to do with Christianity, is that right?

Technically, that’s true. It’s not a ‘Christian’ holiday at all. It’s a traditional celebration that was started when the Pilgrims had their first harvest in the new world. They all gathered together, along with the Indians that had helped them to learn when and what to plant for crops, how to survive during the previous winter, as well as giving them some of their own food when the Pilgrims were nearly starving, to share the bounty of the harvest and give thanks to God for helping them to survive by sending them the Indians as helpers and friends. So, it’s a day for all of the people to gather together and give thanks to God for all of their blessings throughout the year, no matter what faith they belong to.
