Sometimes when I have the time I will sidewalk counsel outside of the abortuaries. I spent about one hour with another side-walk counselor but the next two hours I was alone. The first couple that left I saw their fuzzy white “sonogram”. That’s not what a sonogram is suppose to look like…not from a professional.

The next man that I spoke with, from what I understood his girl friend was having an abortion because they did not use contraceptive. He wanted to know how much money I would pay him to not have an abortion and give the baby up for adoption. He was at first concerned for me because I might not be wearing sun tan lotion and he did not want me to get cancer…I was concerned as to why he cares more for me getting cancer than the life of the the baby about to be aborted. He was cussing at me but calmed down and we discussed the issue of abortion. He then asked me uncomfortable questions about whether I was married, like that matters in this situation. His girl friend was having an abortion. He told me that he was happy right now…that was really shocking. I have never met someone who said they were happy their girl friend was having an abortion…as though he just dropped her off at a Day Spa. I mentioned that fact to him and then he seemed to daze off for a moment and then asked me if I was trying to make him feel bad. It seems while he was in the marines they did not teach him the value of human life…although he seemed to have a really good grasp of maintaining the quality of his own life monetarily.

Please pray for
the side-walk counselors,
the mothers and fathers considering abortion and post abortive
the babies
the marines
the end of abortion
and bless the nice man who stopped and gave me 4 bottles of water (cause only the Lord knew I had not had anything to drink all day)

God bless you for your efforts. Even the man who seems clueless about the value of every human life gained some knowledge and information that will percolate within him. What seem like hopeless cases to us sometimes can abruptly turn a corner and move toward the light of Christ through the Holy Spirit. I have prayed on the sidewalk in front of the abortuary, too. Wherever evil is, the grace of God flows ever more intensely. I will pray for your peace of mind in the face of evil itself. May the Lord protect and guide you as you stand up for truth, love and beauty.

Indeed, may God greatly bless and reward you for your witness to the sanctity of human life.

While my health {lack of] prevents me from standing outside such ‘clinics’, I have some good friends who do.

It is so sad that at our local abortion centre we actually have a doctor who ‘works’ there, who calls himself a Catholic, and who has remonstrated with one of my friends.

May the Holy Spirit move them to see the error of their ways. Amen.

Thank you for what you do…

I did the 40 Days for Life during Lent. It was my first time to be on the sidewalk outside a development where Planned Parenthood was. This particular PP did not do abortions, but gave abortificants. I did not have anyone approach me. A few people driving by let me know they were for abortion and against what I was doing by giving me a particular hand signal. Others who supported me honked and gave a thumbs up. It made me feel good donating my 4 hours those 40 days praying my Rosary and holding my sign in my silent and peaceful vigil.
I would like to go there again even though the 40 days has ended.

Prayer For The Closing of an Abortion Clinic

Father, all life is in Your care.
You have entrusted us to one another,
that we may show our brothers and sisters
the same love You have for us.

We pray, then, for the least among us,
the children in the womb.
Protect them from the violence of abortion.
We pray for those that are scheduled to die at this clinic.
Save them from death.
Give new hope to their parents,
that they may turn away from the desperate act of abortion.

Grant conversion to the abortionist and to the staff.
Show us how we are to respond to the bloodshed in our midst,
And lead us to the day when this place of death
Will be transformed into a haven of life.
Guard us with your joy and your peace,
For in You, life is victorious.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

:blessyou:
