Hard Determinism?

What is the Church’s stance on Hard Determinism: “philosophical proposition that every event including human behavior, decision, and action is DETERMINED by an unbroken chain of prior occurences.”

I heard an atheist woman on youtube talking about it:

It doesn’t make sense to me, I do not believe even the universe functions on DEterminism, but PREdeterminism.
