Hard time at work

Hi, I am having issues at my current job. I have been working there for over 4 years. Since my return to the Catholic Church I take my religious life very seriously. I try to forgive everyone and not look at their sins. I Keep hearing blasphemy, seeing sinful actions and I always try in my mind to focus on Jesus. I don’t feel like working here anymore mainly because of this. I am also working with copyright programs & operating system. Now, I am not the one who installed those copyright programs but I feel guilty using them… I really don’t know what to do. Should I leave my job? It’s very hard spiritually to be here 5 times a week. Am I committing Mortal sins? What would you do?

I saw a documentary on Padre Pio couple weeks ago. This is exactly what I can relate my position right now.
Francesco (Padre Pio) didn’t like to go out and play with children his age because, as he said, “They are not honest; they use bad language, and they swear.

By Mortal sin, I mean using copyrighted programs at work.

I know how you feel. First and foremost, definitely keep praying every day before you enter your office that the Lord would move in the hearts of your coworkers.

As far as the software copyrights, can you just tell your boss that they need to purchase licenses? Then let God work out the rest…

I don’t think we’ll be able to avoid conflicts in our workplaces due to the direction the outside culture has taken… and of course, Jesus said they will hate us because of Him-- even more so as time progresses toward His return.

But God will provide us assurance and peace even more so as things worsen!

Good idea I will ask God to enlighten me. My boss already know that almost all programs we use is not legit. I don’t want to promote piracy by working with it. Technically the company is making money out of it and they surely can afford all the licenses…

In my opinion, I don’t think this is a Mortal sin for myself since the 3 requirements are not all present but I could be wrong. I don’t use any illegal programs at home but I have no control here at work. The only option I have is to leave.

This is a hard question to answer, I don’t consent in doing something Mortal. If i would know the answer i would act and choose to keep working with it, or leave and refrain from committing mortal sin. Anyone can help me on this issue?
