Over the last couple days I have continually reinforced my intention to be in harmony. While I’ve always understood the word logically, I have never really attempted to connect with it emotionally in the way I have recently.
Harmony is a feeling of no friction, no inner conflict, no being torn between two places when you are with someone else. Yes it’s peace, but its also a feeling that you are connected with everything, not just body and mind but to the present reality. And you’re not just connected to it but you’re apart of it. There’s nothing to resist, nothing to fight.
By attempting to be in harmony I realize just how many unharmonious thoughts pass through my mind and body! Even in a span of just a few minutes. It really is quite amazing how these patterns build up without you really being conscious of it, until you make a conscious effort to reset the stage for a more harmonious vibration.
It’s also interesting to note how we use words like love, happiness or harmony for years, but when you really start to just focus on a word and what it means, you start peeling back the careless understanding of the word to reveal a more raw, deeper connection to the spirit of the word. The word itself is only a portal into the vibration that words attempt to label. By really focusing on the word, you enter the portal and then you move past the word itself and enter the vibration.
This vibration that we label as “harmony” is really like riding on a cloud through your day. The cloud moves effortlessly, it resists nothing, it retains nothing as it moves along it’s path. But harmony is so much more than that - the feeling of harmony cannot be conveyed to your logic. I challenge you to devote a whole day to settling into the idea of what harmony means for you and notice anytime you feel out of harmony with yourself or others and remind yourself of the challenge to be in greater harmony. This doesn’t mean fighting or judging yourself when you feel out of harmony - that will only lead to greater disharmony. But to gently remind yourself of your intention each time you fall off track. “Today I’m going to do my best to think the most harmonious thoughts, to speak with greater harmony and to connect with people in harmonious ways.” To be more harmonious also means to cut out the things that cause disharmony. For me that means not reading the news on a daily basis (I already want to revolt), and not playing games that often cause frustration or make me feel guilty I’m not using my time more wisely smile.
It seems you cannot be in harmony if you are also not moving towards some kind of purposeful living. So at first you might need to chill out, but harmonious living is not JUST relaxing. It’s also purposeful effort towards some worthy ideal. But for now, chilling out might be your first step towards clarifying what that worthy ideal is.
Enough of my interpretation of what harmony is - I want you to take the challenge and find out what “harmony” really means to you… walk through that door way and discover the vibration for yourself
