He is wrong the bible said
1Cr 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death** till he come**.

He has already been proven wrong, several years ago, on a prediction of Christ’s return. I would not waste my time and mental energy listening to him. Even if I were still a Protestant.

Good answer. Camping has a theory or two of his own and bases it on nothing but his own opinion. Yet people call in and beg his wisdom, just because he has a radio network across America.

We used to listen to his Q&A for the same reason we listen to "Coast to Coast’s Q&A – there are a lot of strange people who call in…but of course, he is wrong.

I was talking to a friend this morning about this and it occured to me, our calandar is three years off. It could already be 2011, if we measure by the birth of Christ…heads up everybody.

I believe he wrote a book called “1994” in which he predicted that the second coming would happen around Septermber of that year. He was wrong then and he is probably wrong now as well. Jesus said that only the Father knows the day and the hour. This is a vain attempt by yet another man that thinks he can out smart God. Even if he did get it right it would likey just be a lucky guess. The bible says that if a man aspires to be a prophet and does not get it right he is not speaking for God, I would just ignore the guy.

Perhaps the most disturbing thing about Harold Camping is that he maintains that his teachings are biblical. You cannot argue the point with him because he will say “Don’t trust me, trust the Bible.” It becomes easy, therefore, for the uninformed to fall into the snare of believing that everything he puts forth is indeed biblical while clearly it is not.

Most painful is when I hear Catholics call in – and hearing Camping imploring them not to attend mass, receive the sacraments or go to confession.

Since he has the floor, so to speak, he will oftentimes shut the listener off and begin articulating his flawed teachings, not giving the listener a chance to refute or respond.

Honestly I am torn by this. I want to call in and tell him the errors of his teachings but I know I won’t get the first few sentences out before he shouts EXCUSE ME! Exuse me! as he so often does –

Would there be any benefit in calling his show to refute him? Or is this better left alone. My instincts tell me that I should at least give it a try.

good replies yea i’m kinda bothered when I hear him on the radio. Wonder if you can contact him via email from their website. Saying that the church is ruled by satan is like saying Jesus is ruled by Satan since the church is christs body.

Personally, I would not bother. It is highly improbable that he will listen. As noted, he does not listen on line.

Some of the older music on Family Radio is nice to listen to (calm and relaxing). I know people who listen to the station and simply turn Harold off when he comes on.

He truly believes what he is saying. As I understand he takes no salary so all he does is done out of conviction (however misplaced) or ego. He does not tolerate dissent. There was a site called Family Radio is Wrong that makes interesting reading.

If he is a rapturist i would be careful. Today alot of good teachings are mixed with bad (Wheat and Taers) That is why Paul said it is better to stick and hold fast to what you believe, don’t let men sway you to the left or to the right Hold fast! By the way last night i am now officialy Catholic, proud to be and wil die Catholic. I shall not be moved!
