Who’s the heck is this dude ?

Are you trying to catch Harry Potter fans to your thread by letting them think you might mispelled ‘Harry’ ? :ehh:

Not that I’m a Harry Potter fan. Just curious why ‘Harry’ Potter is dead. 🤷
 
Hehehehehe… this makes me think of how I want to do “anti-spoilers” on Friday night, a la the “Snape Kills Dumbledore” guy. (Look it up on YouTube, but don’t read the comments because people posted the spoilers I talk about below.) Except I would read the end and shout what doesn’t happen.
But for a second I thought “Hey, don’t be like the people who read the scans of the end of this upcoming book and posted what happened in different places on the internet…”, because I accidentally read one thing that happened, and I’m still not quite over it.
 
You had me scared for a minute that it was Harry…I don’t think he’ll die, but I think the whole world will know by this Saturday.😉
 
Oh, yeesh! Now I am definitely “going dark” until I get Book 7 read! First someone fooling around on another board I frequent, and now this (yes it’s a harmless joke, but what if it wasn’t?).

I know that some of the important pages of the book were scanned and are available on the Web (I won’t share where), so mischief is afoot!

Time to avoid message boards, TV, radio, and print!

Avoid stores. In some of those message boards you have people who have created t-shirts. Yes T-shirts, with the ending to the book…This person dies on this page. This person dies on this page. This person dies here. This person lives. And does this… They are planning on wearing this shirts to the launching… No, I’m not joking.
 
Yup, avoiding the stores, too. We pre-ordered the book months ago, so I HOPE it will be in the mail Saturday! I’ve also heard that some nasty people drive by fans standing outside bookstores waiting for the release and shout the spoilers.

Same here. I’ve contemplated re-reading Order of the Phoenix since I forgot so much of the movie, then re-read book 6 and THEN read the 7th - but I don’t know that I can avoid people until I finish! :o

When Van Halen 3 was coming out, I did the same thing. I turned off the radio for months knowing they were playing tracks off of it. Let me just say that I’m sure Harry Potter will be worth the wait. :rolleyes:

Good thing I’m not a violent person or I’d carry a 2x4 around with me - especially to the stores.
 
I understand Wal-Mart will be giving out earplugs to those Harry Potter fans who don’t want to inadvertently hear someone shout out the ending!

As for me, I’m bringing my own pair of earplugs to the book release! (Maybe I should bring a blindfold, too???) :eek:

Look on YouTube for “Snape kills Dumbledore”. This is what started the whole thing of drive-by spoilers.
I don’t have a reserved copy, but I do want to go out tonight to one of the stores - I wanted to make a “Dumbledore kills Snape” shirt as an “anti-spoiler” (far as I know, that’s not going to happen - one of those mean spoiler people told me Snape’s fate) and wear it there, but had no money.
