harry potter has helped me be a good...catholic.

ok, there may be some of u who know exactly waht i mean…harry potter books have helped you be a good person. there may be some of you who are indifferent on the subject also. and then there may be a very unfortuanate few of you who do not get the books’ message clearly, and consider it blasphemous. but…the books overall message is…that love is the greatest defense against evil…and that all lives are valuable. everyone is equal. everyone should be helped.

take this for example, in the last book, lee jordan asks kingsley shacklebolt what he thinks of wizards who look down upon muggles, or non magical folk.

kingsly answeres, " were all human arent we? we are all equal…every human life is valuable."

now use that passage as a basis to judge harry poter, because that is one of the series’ best messages.

One thing I want to point out about Harry Potter, do you know that in eery book/movie, they take a break from school for…

Christmas

Not that I believe in magic, witch craft, etc, however it is make believe and if you teach you children that it is not real, such as Superman, Spider-man, Santa Claus, etc, I doubt that they would become Wiccans.

It is how the child is raised, period.

I agree. I enjoyed this entire series. I am a catholic. I don’t believe in magic. I believe in miracles. I know that evil is real if you don’t than you have not experienced much in your life.

People who oppose these books do it completely on the basis of the idea of the fantasies plots and such. The book overall teaches moral awareness and good ideals, the values of fellowship and that good always defeats evil and that Love triumphs over everything. unfortunately some people get carried away and don’t see those things because they are to busy putting down the rest of the book. I do not promote people running around and pretending they can shoot sparks from a stick and such because it doesn’t happen lol its a colorful fun idea that people get scared of. just because I enjoy it doesn’t mean I detest God. frankly even if “magic” was real I would still believe in God as it would be a creation of his as is everything in the world the evil comes from when people misuse Gods gifts.

Ummm no. These articles are completely biased and uniformed. they pass judgment on little pieces without looking at the bigger picture… hmmm kinda like how we do with the bible so often.

WOW can I smell conspiracy theory here. Some people amaze me. some people have too much time on there hands and are worried about stupid things. people are going to believe what they will do what you feel is right. If you think the above quote is true …O RUN FOR THE HILLS AND GRAB YOUR PITCH FORKS THE WITCHES ARE COMING!!! seriously worry about your own ideals and beliefs and stop trying to take on the world. you get so much further by being accepting and open and just so no one takes those words and turns them into something that makes me sound like im a witch, I mean being open and accepting while keeping your own beliefs and ideals, people will commend you for it and may even be attracted to what compels you…God if your wondering.

I feel sorry for closed minded people… they do not know Love.
