I’m moving to Hartford, Connecticut in October and I’m looking for help finding a parish that has a weekly traditional Latin mass. If this is not the case then I’m looking for a parish that is more on the traditional side of things. I’m a former seminarian and was was blessed with beautiful liturgy on a daily basis, so I’m looking for the same thing in my new parish. I also enjoy singing, therefore I would love a parish in which I can join the choir or maybe even a choir that needs a little help getting started.

I’m also looking for some like minded friends in the Hartford area. I have spoken with the Archdiocese and I will likely be trying to begin a group for young adults which is focused on the faith and fellowship, fixing the culture of our immoral world by growing a good culture in Catholics. If anyone is interested please send me a pm.

P. S. Please pray for me. I just had intestinal surgery two weeks ago and I’m having trouble with my incisions healing. I can’t move until my stomach is healed. Thank you so much
 
First, I hope you have a doctor looking after your incision which should actually be showing some signs of healing by now.
Second, you will bring some experience to your new parish and make new friends.

Welcome to the Archdiocese of Hartford!

I am part of the St James parish of Rocky Hill. Our pastor is also the director of Worship for the Archdiocese and he prays the Mass in the real spirit of Vatican II. Very reverent and he even chants parts of the Mass…
 
All in relative close proximity too. Its an interesting area with Christianity in general. Jesus Christ is strong in CT. There’s just a slight issue because of Christian diversity in deciding which evils we shall excuse as with Democrats and Republicans. The IC in Waterbury is very nice also. 35 minute ride from Hart.

Thank you all for your help. I lived in the Hartford area for seven years and what I remember is that the area is pretty liberal. I remember from my experience is that the masses were not always very reverent. I will check out that link.

I do have surgeons checking on my incision. I had a massive hematoma under my incision so they had to cut open my incision. Now it’s still open and in quite a bit of pain. I’m awaiting their response to see when they can sew me up again

As long as politics is not your god, (whether it be conservative or liberal politics) and you keep your eye on Christ, you will be fine. 🙂

Thank you, Marie. God is my God. All of my political ideologies come from my belief in God. If someone’s political ideology is against Church teaching, and they are Catholic, I will be the first to say something. I will take your words with much consideration.
