I think it has killed many of the people who could be paying into the system right now.
Go Tyler! We need every young person like you to write to the Congress. Let them know your age and what you think of their killing off your generation.I think this is payback for all the liberals and concervatives that advocated for abortion and now are wondering why SS is failing. Serves them right. Short sightedness, think that they can kill 1/3 of my generation and get away with it. Not anymore!!!
You bet, right on. And they tell us God doesn’t really punish us for our sins. Yeah right…call it karma or whatever you like, but what goes around comes around.I think this is payback for all the liberals and concervatives that advocated for abortion and now are wondering why SS is failing. Serves them right. Short sightedness, think that they can kill 1/3 of my generation and get away with it. Not anymore!!!
Yeah he’s just gotten really* subtle* about it. In the old days he’d turn someone into a pillar of salt or rain down brimstone. Now of course he authors complicated economic strategies to reign terrible destruction upon senior’s incomes. You bet, right on. And they tell us God doesn’t really punish us for our sins. Yeah right…call it karma or whatever you like, but what goes around comes around.
You continue with the faulty logic that “SS would be fine if they only had enough people” instead of the correct logic “SS is poorly designed because it relies on an ever increasing population.”Hey people supported abortion, which decresed the number of workers (my generation) by 1/3 which decresed the funds by 1/3 which means that there are an un-even number of elderly (my grandparents) to young people because the middle generation (yours) aborted 1/3 of us away. 1/3 45 million in the US alone! That is the size of california, wiped off the map because of “a womens right to choose”.
I couldn’t say. I certainly find evidence we are better off with the right to have an abortion. So we are better off without one third of my generation is that what you are telling me?
Have you ever studied population dynamics? They don’t always grow, they can’t. Finite resources absolutely guarantees that unrestrained growth leads to boom and bust populations. How do you know that social security won’t work? The population does increase, that is what happens!
Oh indeed we are. There are more adults, they have children which means that there are more of everyone! We are not running out of room!
You’re kidding right? It’s not just where you live. It’s the huge amount of acreage required to grow all the food to sustain you. The huge amount of acreage to grow the trees for all the paper and wood products you’ll use in your life. The vast amounts of fossil fuels that will be burned to maintain our energy overhead.Come over to washington and I can show you huge areas that are untouched by humans that can support life where millions of people can live!
Is it really accurate to claim that 1/3 of a generation that othewise would have been born has been eliminated by virtue of abortion? Absent the availability of abortion and birth control, would individuals have been tempted to engage as wantonly in sex outside of marriage and would that many children have ever been conceived? So we are better off without one third of my generation is that what you are telling me?
It’s foolish to make wagers when you have no way of knowing the outcome.Accually I do know a thing or two about ecological footprints, and I would be willing to bet some serious money that mine is lower than yours by alot!
I never tried to prove that so it’s hardly surprising I “failed.”And what you are condoning is just repulisive, you have yet to prove to anyone that abortion is making us better off at all!
God seems to have left the matter in our hands (or has brimstone rained down on any abortion clinics recently?). Doesn’t he help those that help themselves?Furthermore, the population will grow as much as God sees fit to deposit upon our world. God is in charge not you and not me, God. And He does not support abortion!
Certainly some die of exposure every year. That’s true almost everywhere in the US.Are you overcrowded where you live? Are there people dying in the streets?
You assume I haven’t read up on it.How large is your house? Maybe you should read up on the wastefulness of our society and start modifying your behavior patterns.
Funny I thought it was pretty gross that you object to abortion because it means less money in your social security account, but hey I guess we all have our push buttins right? Me I hate to see the human condition degraded by overpopulation until, like rats in a cage, we snap. You apparently care about the Bling-bling. To each their own.I find it sicking that you are more concerned with the space in which you have to live and less concerned with the 45 million children that have died.
Well do you live in a less then 100 square foot room with another person? In a complex with over 200 people? With no running water in the rooms? Do you drive? I don’t I walk everywhere. It’s foolish to make wagers when you have no way of knowing the outcome.
Maybe you should attempt it in another thread, I thought that you alread had but prehaps not.I never tried to prove that so it’s hardly surprising I “failed.”
Have you seen the latest news reports, planned parenthood is out 35 million because of pro-life activists. I would call that some fire and brimstone. And that is a extremely theologically flawed outlook on God, in fact that line was used in the movie Troy.God seems to have left the matter in our hands (or has brimstone rained down on any abortion clinics recently?). Doesn’t he help those that help themselves?
And that is reason to kill children through abortion?Certainly some die of exposure every year. That’s true almost everywhere in the US.
Have you? You could say some thing like I have read it or I haven’t instead of not really saying anything. You assume I haven’t read up on it
The human condition is not “like rats in a cage” come on! Where are you getting this? Where are people snapping? Where is your hope for the furture. In fact I think that I have found the difference between us. I have hope for the furture and you dont. Its that simple.Funny I thought it was pretty gross that you object to abortion because it means less money in your social security account, but hey I guess we all have our push buttins right? Me I hate to see the human condition degraded by overpopulation until, like rats in a cage, we snap. You apparently care about the Bling-bling. To each their own.
That is what the system has become. But that is not how it was designed. The problem is the system is designed to be a pyramid scheme. requiring an ever larger population. Such a system is at best foolish and at worst unethical. There are of course other ways of organizing our Social Security that would be more self sufficient.
Since we cannot support an infinitely expanding population the system is flawed regardless of what method occurs to limit population.
I agree with you. Believe me, I’m not waving the flag advocating AB as a method of controlling the crime rate–just noting an outcome that is frequently associated with the post-Roe era.[/font**]
Sounds like a eugenics argument to me…which isn’t surprising coming from people who support Roe.![]()
I live in washington, good to hear of someone sticking up for us! We’re not all whack-jobs in the pacific northwestSo we are better off without one third of my generation is that what you are telling me? I personally think that its my generation so I will thank you to stop killing us! How do you know that social security won’t work? The population does increase, that is what happens! There are more adults, they have children which means that there are more of everyone! We are not running out of room! Come over to washington and I can show you huge areas that are untouched by humans that can support life where millions of people can live!
