Has any Pope stated that the Syro-Malabar rite is in communion with the Chair of Peter?

Apologies accepted. But for the next one take in mind that when a Catholic mentions the “Church” or “churches”, he generally refers to the Catholic Church.

I will remember. I love the many rites of the Church. I know a man in the Caribbean and he has intimated that there is a Caribbean way of being a Catholic. And I thought, “Maybe he means liturgy also.” Perhaps someday there will be a Caribbean rite.

Since I lived in another culture for three years, I find the many rites of the Church exciting and a testimony to the catholicity of the Church. On my mother’s side I am Melkite and on my Father’s I am Latin rite.
