Has anybody ever read Emil Schürer?

I have the opportunity to purchase Emil Schürer’s “A History of the Jewish People in the Time of Jesus Christ” for $5 and was wondering if anyone has read the work and how well a read it is historically and factually considering the work is from the 1890’s. Is it worth my $5?
 
I haven’t read this, but we have found more stuff since the 1890’s to do with antiquity. That does not negate the book or its concepts, but it’s just good to know.
