Yes I have been to quite a few teaching Masses. I found them very helpful.

Our parish had them broken up over several Sundays and they were really helpful and well received. I told our priest I wish they had taped them because they would be very good to share on YouTube. I learned a lot of why things are done, why the priest says certain things, what we should be thinking about, or doing.
It gave me a new way of looking at the mass. I feel more connected.

our parish has a teaching Mass once a year for RCIA. other parishoners are encouraged to attend. i have been to several and i enjoy them very much.

I would love to attend a teaching Mass. I believe it would be wonderful!

Never been to a teaching Mass but have seen parish produced copies of the Mass with a short explanation of each part written before or alongside the official text.

Actually, just recently at Mass, unprompted, before the Communion liturgy started, the Priest talked about the prayers he said quietly and the adding of water to the wine and why it was done. It was real quick, but interesting.

I totally agree. There is another thread on this message board about offering masses that are a little more like some of the mega churches, with louder music, different lighting, smoke machines, and livelier homilies.
I believe that if Catholics better understood the Mass, it would help them to engage in the Mass.
