Hello.
Year’s ago… my great grandfather and his wife were in the Vatican when blessed pope Paul vi was still alive. They were attending mass one day at the Vatican and after the mass in st Peter’s square. The late pontiff himself was giving his blessings over the faithful and he was on that type of papal chair that the lay person who are the staff under the pope were carrying him on. And he ordered the men to stop by one of the group of people and the people he saw was the ones from the United States. And it’s was told to me by my great grandfather and his wife which she passed away from leukemia in 1989. And what my great grandfather told me while he was laying in his death bed. He told me that pope Paul vi walked over to the group from the United States and talked to them. Cause it was their wedding anniversary in 1974. And then after that my great uncle gave the late pope his address and personal phone number. And when my great grandfather and his wife got home from their wedding anniversary tour of Italy and the vatican. They got a phone call from the pope himself and talked to my great grandfather and plus I still remember my Grandma and my grandfather had a few chances to chat with him as well. And then a few weeks later on the 2 weeks before Christmas 1974 my grandfather and his father and mother got a package from the Vatican and it was a box with pope Paul vi picture, and personal use of one of his few rosaries and a bottle of wine and a few relics of saints including Peter the first pope. And a relic of Elizabeth Ann seton who was going to be canonized in the near future of the 1970s. And it was the best experience ever.
