Has anyone ever made a love connection on CAF?

I have met a couple people of the opposite sex through CAF.

The problem is, the chance that two people (sight unseen) will find themselves compatible and mutually attractive is fairly low.

You can learn a lot about someone’s beliefs and ideology on these forums, but that’s about it. Sharing beliefs and ideology in a relationship is certainly important, but it isn’t nearly enough.

In other words, I don’t feel compelled to date every single Catholic I meet in real life – personality and attraction is also important. Therefore, the chance of making a match with any given CAF member is pretty low. Because people on CAF are from all over the world, it is unlikely that I would meet enough members to find a match.
 
May some of the other oldtimers can help here, but I seem to remember that back when I first joined, that a couple that met on CAF just got married. This would have been in the 2006 timeframe. The original post may have gotten lost in the big crash of '06.
 
I’m not expecting to find someone here that doesn’t live a billion miles away. But it would be cool if someone here did.

You know, this might have a chance of working if everyone had a picture of themselves in their profile, but, hardly anyone does.

Also, our posts on CAF can be a very limited reflection of our personality, we take our time to create the right impression and so on. In real life, it’s different 😊
 
As well-intentioned as this thread may be, CAF is not an avenue for dating and nor would we endorse anyone exchanging personal information with one another.
