Has anyone left the church and want to come back?

I left the Church for protestantism and was gone for 13 years. It was a very confusing time, like being in a dark forest not knowing which way to turn. Thankfully after much prayer and tears God led me home.

I suggest that you look at the Catechism of the Catholic Church and scroll to where it says Mixed marriages and disparity of cult. This better reflects the Church’s official position today.

With regard to the Second Vatican Council, it really is not a bad starting point for people wanting to come into the Catholic Church. What I found most useful during my period of instruction were the documents of Vatican II and the encyclicals and other writings of Pope John Paul II. You do not need to make special efforts to understand these texts in the context of the Catholic tradition because the fact is that they are part of that tradition. I honestly think that it makes more sense to begin with Vatican II and then move backwards than it does to begin with the Counter-Reformation and then work your way through another 400-500 years of the history of the Catholic Church before reaching the present day. I am also not sure why you appear to hold Marcel Lefebvre in higher esteem that Pope Francis. Marcel Lefebvre was a Catholic archbishop who ended up in schism and excommunication, where Pope Francis is the Vicar of Jesus Christ.

Hence your interest in reading the Disputationes . Would it not be more profitable for you to immerse yourself in Catholic theology for its own sake rather than as a way of opposing Protestantism?
For me is SALUS ANIMARUM SUPREMA LEX

Actually he was excommunicated, there is plenty of evidence of this, so why you have a problem with history is beyond me. By the way, I’d say Eastern Catholics have done a fine job of upholding Catholic tradition. The Church does not just consist of the Latin west.

Yup, why lie? The truth will come out eventually. It’s also more fun to be yourself.
