Has anyone read the book: The Poem of the Man-God?

If it is good enough for the then Cardinal Ratzinger, one of the foremost theologians in Europe, and good enough for Fr Groeschel. no mean thinker himself, to print what Cardinal Ratzinger had said then it’s good enough for me.

It would be prudent to consider that the Poem has Imprimaturs from Pope Pius XII, Archbishop Soosa Pakiam M. of Trivandrum, Archbishop George H. Pearce, and Bishop Roman Danylak, Titular Bishop of Nyssa Rome, Italy. Blessed Biblical Scholar Gabriel Allegra was the first to start discovering indisputable theological proofs and could find nothing against faith or morals. Neither could Pope Paul VI, who endorsed “The Virgin Mary In The Writings of Maria Valtorta”, a book strongly endorsing the Poem.

The scientific analysis that Benedict J. Groeschel may be referring to was the “Geographical blunders” contention. Valtorta named numerous towns and villages that were not discovered at the time. Since several of these have been discovered, and exactly where she said they would be, these “Geographical blunders”, have transformed into Geographical Proofs.

This may be of interest. An Italian Priest friend visited Maria Valtorta’s home in Viareggio, Italy. It is set up like a museum. He was able to view the bedroom where she wrote her dictations. The tour guide said that when Maria Valtorta’s body was exhumed (to be transferred under the Altar of The Basilica of the Annunciation), there were no signs of corruption. He was also told that witnesses stated that her right hand had a light luminescent glow, the one in which she wrote all her Heavenly dictations with.

He also said that Maria Valtorta’s books were available in the Vatican Book Store in Italian and English. When he asked the sales clerk about this, she replied that they began stocking them in 2005. The following is a wonderful testimony found on a Valtorta web-site:

“Radio Maria in Italy has been presenting the works of Maria Valtorta for many years. Their nation-wide listening public in Italy is around 3 million strong, and both Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict have made very public their support, appreciation and encouragement for this excellent and punctiliously faithful Catholic radio station. There are many Cardinals and Bishops who participate on a regular basis, and this certainly would not happen if there were even just a hint of something controversial in any of the many program offerings. The founder and president of the radio station is Padre Livio Fanzaga. He himself was once skeptical about the works of Maria Valtorta. I don’t know what it was though that convinced him. Anyhow, Radio Maria is pretty much all over the globe now, and in the course of some 25 years, the Vatican and two Popes have found nothing at all to criticize about the many programs that have been devoted to the works of Maria Valtorta. Radio Maria is tremendously influential among the faithful, and for this reason, the Vatican for sure keeps a close eye and attentive ear on the radio’s programming. But it must be said that even in the Vatican, Radio Maria is as popular and well-loved as in any other place in Italy.”

Radio Maria is an exclusively Roman Catholic broadcaster, and has an English language subsidiary (hmwn.net/)), clicking on the “Listen Live” Icon located in the upper right hand corner of the page will load an internet based real-time stream Radio broadcast. The programming is closely supervised by a Bishop and several Priests. There are two programs (Hungry for the Spirit & Poet’s Corner), that read regularly from Maria Valtorta’s works. The Roman Catholic Church has been undergoing a monumental change in direction regarding Maria Valtorta’s writings. As mentioned in an earlier posting, it really does seem to be a premonition to an upcoming Beatification.

Where are all the accusers? Is there no one left to cast a stone at this Holy woman? Or to scoop up a glob of mud to throw at her white soul? Thank God! The way this Holy woman was being pummeled on these threads was morbid.

When I clicked on the link for the English Radio Maria Valtorta station, it wasn’t bringing up the site. I noticed that the posted link incorporated the closed bracket. Here’s a fix - hmwn.net/
I checked it out, very nice internet radio station, great find! This will bring Maria’s writings all over the world.

Irregardless of what Cardinal Ratzinger said in some letter 22 years ago, if He (as Pope Benedict) is sitting in the Vatican now, listening to Maria Valtorta, it would be safe to consider that God is beginning to lift the veil on these works.

The following are some good links for obtaining truthful information. These articles are very well written and very impressive:

A very good source of information on Maria Valtorta
MariaValtortaWebRing.com/

Best response I’ve seen to Father Mitch Pacwa. This reply is very respectful, but shows conclusively beyond any doubt how each contention is erroneous or taken out of context. Everything is fully backed up with supporting links.
mariavaltortawebring.com/…espondence.htm

Another great response to Father Mitch Pacwa:
motherofallpeoples.com/in…e-Man-God.html

Best response I’ve seen to a very mean spirited and personal attack on Maria Valtorta and her works by F. John Loughnan.
mariavaltortawebring.com/…espondence.htm

Best response I’ve seen to a Ronald L. Conte Jr., a Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich Theologian. He posted a lengthy article pointing out differenced in the works of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich and Maria Valtorta. However, when looked at more closely, the truth is that these differences are not different at all, but nearly identical.

I don’t believe what Anne Emmerich said either.

You are certainly welcome to your personal opinion. Notwithstanding, Saint Anne Catherine Emmerich was Beatified by Pope John Paul II on October 3, 2004, and her writings have numerous Imprimaturs from Cardinals, Archbishops, and Bishops.

Jesus referring to those who are unable to believe: “They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.” (Luke 7:32 KJV).

Anne Emmerich is NOT a saint as you have just stated. She has not been canonised.

Second, having an Imprimatur on a book is NOT a Church approval of any revelations, messages or apparitions. It simply signifies the local bishops opinion that its okay to publish. An Imprimatur has been overturned in the past more than once by Rome.

Formally Love4Mary2, as the Love4Mary2 log in has been permanently barred. I, as well as many struggling Maria Valtorta advocates and defenders are well aware of the steadfast negative position of moderators of these threads. Now, just as with past postings that were exceedingly irrefutable, are simply deleted. The moderators then mend the thread postings to the benefit of those with positions against Maria Valtorta and her works. Over the years it has become impossible to have a truly balanced debate. Obviously these blockings, deletings, and terminations of threads would not be unnecessary if they had any confidence in their positions. One day they may have to stand before Almighty God and explain why they stood as barriers between God’s word and his sheep. Goodbye to all, and I hope at least some of my postings remain. May God Bless you and lead you to the real truth.

Ummm it wasn’t the log-in that was barred - it didn’t do anything in contravention of forum rules and policy, YOU did, and YOU were barred. You were made aware of the rules and policy when you signed up.

Having been on the wrong end of policy here a few times myself, I can safely say I’ve never been undeservedly treated as far as that goes. I’m sure the same courtesy and consideration was extended to yourself.

I have never found it a problem to have an amicable debate about Maria Valtorta - I have friends and family members who are ardent supporters of hers and we’ve always been amicable even while disagreeing.

This thread was the target of an attack which involved an extensive use of sock-puppetry.
