This is right, except you forgot to mention that most of those who have actually joined the Catholic Church themselves will also be damned. The number of Catholic members to enter heaven will be exceedingly small compared to the total number of actual members baptized into the Church.I believe this:
This is my understanding of the doctrine of the Church.
- Those persons who have the possibility of joining the Catholic Church before death, but who fail to do so, will be damned of their own free will, because they refused God’s graces of conversion.
- Other persons, who have no possibility of joining the Catholic Church before death, can conceivably be saved through perfect charity and contrition, but human nature assures us that the number of such persons is exceedingly small.
