Has not Purgatory been rescinded?

I understand that the Catholic Church has stated that purgatory does not exist and does not stand behind those who state they still believe in it.
 
Hi,

You source is incorrect. Purgatory is a dogma of the Church and must be held in faith by all Catholics.
