Has the Church stated that women CANNOT wear pants?

My family, particularly my dad, is of the mind that pants are men’s clothing, and that it is immodest for women to wear pants. He puts great emphasis on the recent book by Colleen Hammond, “Dressing With Dignity,:confused” and is convinced that hers is the church’s stance.
Is it so? Does the Church teach that pants are not to be worn by women?

No the Church does not teach that women cannot wear pants. But it doesn’t encourage them to wear them either.
