Neither can I on the official Ukrainian Greek Catholic website for Canada and/or for Ukraine (neither in English nor Ukrainian). Heck, I even checked out their Ukrainian Catholic Forum Discussion Boards in Ukraine to see if there was any mention of it, but I did notice any. All I noticed was that in Ukraine the Catholic Forum members pose the same kind of questions we pose on this forum.
Anyway, I’ll check up on it if something pops up. I remember the poster “Diak”, Father Deacon, said he heard it was coming out soon so if he pops on this board sometime, he will probably have more info.

I have been eagerly waiting this catechism for a few years.
It has not been released yet. My understanding is that it has not been officially approved, but is in the final stages, and that it will first be released in the Ukrainian language and then English afterward.
Many people have been waiting for this for several years now.

Цьогорічний Синод, як і попередній під час засідань розглядав тему видання катехизму УГКЦ. Чи можна вже сказати коли цей важливий документ буде опублікований?

Я би сказав що цей момент починає вже конкретно зарисовуватися. Ця праця тривала 10 років і ми дійшли тепер до того, що ми надіємося буде останнє читання перед офіційним затвердженням і публікацією. Ми досить далеко зайшли, може навіть під час 2010 року вже будемо могти поставити печатку на цей проект, надзвичайно важливий для нашої Церкви і приступати до публікації ну і, евентуально, з часом також і до перекладів на мови тих країн, де наші люди вже тривало живуть. Цей катехизм повинен представити перш усього вірним нашої Церкви, але також і всім іншим специфіку нашої віри.

**Question: This year’s Synod, as previous ones had, has looked over the subject of the Publication of the Catechism of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. Can you tell us when this important work will finally be published?
Blessed Lubomyr**: I would say that at this moment it is being concretely outlined. This project has taken 10 years and we have come to the last revision before Official Approval and Publication…We have come quite far so that even by 2010 we may finally put the Seal of Approval on the Catechism - a project very important for our Church and have it published with eventual translations to the languages of the countries where our faithful have lived long. This Catechism should be presented first to our faithful and also to all others about the specificities of our faith.

Yes. That’s basically what His Beatitude Lubomyr said in this month’s interview on the radio program to which I linked: the goal is a 2010 publication.

I think December 2010-January 2011 is still the target release date. The *Catechetical Directory * of the UGCC has been out since 2000 and is available from several sources.
