Has unity started?

I asked this in an email to my Brothers (which are a group of great friends and believers but they are Protestant and some even ex-catholic). I just wanted to get your all opinion of this. Here is my email and one response. If I get any more I’ll post those also.

This is great news for God. I wonder if you all think the same. Not sure if you remember my thought back when we all first meet (it might have been a vision, not sure if I would have known how to tell back then). It was a circle and I said. It all started with the Catholic Church (Not Roman Catholic, but Catholic united under Rome) and it will all come back around. I look back and never really understood how it could happen. I see now God loves His children (meaning His saints on earth all of the true believers in all of the churches) and will take care of them. There are so many lost churches out there. Satan has misled so many. Look how God took a bad thing with the Angelical church accepting open and practicing homosexual priests and even bishops, to a way of uniting His Church. I see the Lutheran Church next.

The first response is from a very God loving and fearing man. We have gotten to some heated arguments about the Catholic Church. He doesn’t fully dislike the Church but thinks it was man made, not from God.

This is Great news!

I agree that the LORD is bringing HIS church (believers not church organizations) back together, but understand it a little different. It is about believing and following JESUS CHRIST not any man made religion and or man made rules and ways. We are also being united as brothers and will see a day that none of this religion or first church history will matter as much as the testimony of JESUS CHRIST!!! The number of years, titles and or what this world wants us to believe is important will not matter as much as the WORD of GOD and that we do HIS Will before our own. Do you think GOD really cares about which church was first or better or does HE care about our Hearts and where they are in HIM?

Lol. I dont mean to laugh. But I hear this all of the time. “God doesnt care what church you go to”. Are YOU sure God doesnt want you to not recieve the Sacraments, not really recieve the Eucharist, not really have confession, not really have a litury form of Mass. I dont know what you could say back.

Everyone has different viewpoints I guess, but you should also be careful not offending people if they worship in a Lutheran or Anglican Church. It is up to God, not us to decide how he wants to bring the Church back together. And by putting certain religions down, usually that just causes people to hate the Church even more.

How do you talk to someone that claims he doesn’t want to follow a religion, that was man made, but only the word of God (Bible)? I can’t bring up any history because that was all man made:shrug:. My friends want to go back to the book of acts. I’m sure a lot of you all hear that a lot from Protestants. I do fear for my Brothers that what they are doing is starting up another Protestant church, but they don’t even realize it. I can see all of them starting off this very same way.

I even stated to derail from my original question. This wasn’t about convincing my friend of Catholicism. It was about the idea, if this is the beginning of unity. So the question is what does everyone else think about the Anglicans becoming Catholic?
