Has your priest said anything about the Notre Dame scandal?

I know some bishops have been very outspoken about this…I wondered if it’s been mentioned at all in your local parishes.

Our priest mentioned it in his homily this past Sunday and I thought the folks in front of us were going to walk out. They were visible upset.

Just wondered if the Catholic divide (as reported by the media) is apparent on a local level…

Our priest, together with the Respect Life committee (of which I’m a member) is planning a mass of reparation for abuses against life on the same date. He said to keep it general as he doesn’t want to make it political,deal of it, although it was prompted by Notre Dame’s action.

I did not hear about it at church, nor did I expect to.

We have talked a great deal about life, participated in the march etc… but no our Priest has not mentioned it. The State Catholic paper had something on it if I remember correctly but they also had articles about our President’s social programs for the poor and other positive things and how they will help the Church and her people.

In a very red state I’ve seen pretty balanced reporting in regards to what things are happening we agree with and desperately need after 8 years of neglect and those we vehemently disagree with on all levels and the whys of each.
