Have I been talking to God? (or something else?)

First of all, I talked about this with my doctor and he said I’m definitely not schizophrenic, so please don’t accuse me of that. Second, I’m not sure if it is God, but it’s not the devil, either. Whenever the devil talks in my head he sounds raspy like he’s whispering (he sometimes also sounds like a snake), but the other voice is bolder and gentle.

I don’t think it’s me talking to myself either, because sometimes the voice will answer my question even when I haven’t even gotten it fully out, so it knows what I’m thinking before I can think it. It also sometimes talks over me, so I’m DEFINITELY not in control, because I can barely get out one whole thought at a time, much less two at the same time. Whenever that happens, I have to ask it to repeat itself so I can understand what it’s saying.

It might also be talking in another language, because sometimes it says two words at the same time as if there’s multiple translations, and sometimes it says nonsensical words that I haven’t been able to translate into any other language on the planet (believe me, I spent WEEKS on a single word and found nothing). I’ve heard of angelic languages, so maybe that’s it? There isn’t really a translator for that, though, so I’m sort of stuck.

Our conversations also aren’t typical conversations that you would have inside your head. It’s more of a casual conversation that you would have with your parents, or maybe one of your friends (closer to parents, though). I can give you a run through of one of our conversations, if that would help.

Please be advised that besides the devil there are the dead who are damned in hell and possess magical powers and speak strange languages too. Like for example the Pharaoh and his army.

I don’t think it’s a demon. It tells me to do good things, not bad.

When I was helping the Children’s Liturgy of the Word session (it’s this thing my church has at 10am mass where all the kids that haven’t gotten their first communion yet go to a separate room during the readings and have the readings explained to them in a way they can understand), this little girl was crying because her younger sister was very sick with pneumonia, so it told me to go sit with her and make her feel better. I went and sat with her on my lap, and she stopped crying and smiled at me. Afterwards her parents came up to me and told me thank you, because apparently she had been crying all day and they couldn’t get her to stop. I wouldn’t think a demon would tell me to help a crying child.
 
I think this is something best left to your doctors and pastor. No one here is equipped to answer this.

You’re a Minor and should discuss these issues with your Priest and Doctor.

Regardless, No one here can help you with this.
