Have I got a covenant?

In theology books I only find God’s Old and New covenants.

Some Catholics said to me a while back that I have got a covenant with them that involves me in saying a vague form of words to them every 3 weeks. I previously had been studying the Bible with them on and off. Like so much else, there are supposed to be clergy nominally involved but that doesn’t work out in practice.

My instinct is to ignore these people from now on but wanted to double check. The clergy here have to be known to be believed in terms of evasiveness and nonsensical-ness so I decide to check out the matter of whether such covenants exist, with you folks the true experts.
 
I don’t fully understand what is going on but I wouldn’t think you have a covenant and I think you should separate yourself from this group.

Now I think THIS is something that should be reported to the Bishop for investigation so that correction can be made from their shepherd and others can be warned.

Many years ago something similar was happening in our diocese concerning a prayer group that was making statements not in accordance with Church teaching among other things. Someone reported them to the Bishop, and correction was made and the Bishop at that time informed the flock that we were to to participate in their activities.
