Ok…tonight, one of my female coworkers had a big party at her home, for the holidays–just for us women. It was so fun! I think women should do this type of thing more often…at work…church…neighborhoods…just get together and celebrate our friendships!👍

Well…since rediscovering NFP, and discovering God’s plan for marital sexuality–I decided to share some of this with my coworker friends. It came up, because the woman throwing the party is 43, and had her twin boys when she was 42. She just got married for the first time when she was 41. She took fertility drugs, and oh my gosh…these boys were so sweet and precious. :o So…it brought up the topic of having babies later in life…etc…and I shared my thoughts on NFP…and a few women were really interested in this!!!🙂 Some were like–what is that? I explained, and they would really like to learn more.

I had a few who said…‘are you thinking of having another baby?’ I said…‘If God would want that, I’m just going with the flow. I’m done controlling everything…we are not planning it, but if it’s God’s will…so be it.’ That was the face a few of them made. LOL

Anyways…there were a few women very interested in learning about this, so I said I was going to take a class or two on this…and start seeing a doctor who promotes it. So…am I nuts to talk about this openly with my coworkers?:o You know, I feel freer than I have felt in years. I told my husband today that I wish we didn’t take our sexuality for granted all of these years. 😦

***If you are lurking on this board and haven’t joined here yet, or are a regular member of CAF…and are wondering if you should use or keep using artificial birth control…please don’t do it. The lies that you are told in this society, are just that–lies. My husband and I, instead of following God’s plan, designed our own plan of sexuality…and for that, I’m regretful. But, I can only move forward now…go to confession this weekend–on my birthday, yay! And…just strive to do it God’s way! ***

Anyways–just sharing! Stay tuned…

**You haven’t lost it, you have FOUND it:thumbsup:

A word of advice though…

share only as long as others seem genuinely interested. Your passion and fire may blind you to the losing of interest or rolling of eyes that indicates that others think you have lost it, lol. So just be respectful of other’s views and points on their own journey to the Truth and I’m sure you will be a great instrument for spreading this great news!

You weren’t afraid to take a stand and state what you believed.
ABC is so ingrained in our culture,it took guts to say what you did to non-believers. you haven’t lost it… God has given you courage to speak up:thumbsup:

Excellent points, Malia–thank you for them. That is something for me to remember…I certainly don’t want to over express myself…I think for the most part, people seemed interested. But, it was a little strange, at one point in the conversation, one of my friends there, she is 44, who never ‘wanted’ children. I felt bad as she told the story of how her husband is always ‘mesmorized’ as he looks at toddlers running by…or through their neighborhood…or in the mall. They got married, she was 38, and he was 35…and now they have been married 6 years. She said, I always thought I would have kids, but I never did. So…as this conversation was going on…this one woman and me were like…you would make a great mom. She looked a bit sad, recollecting her husband because he really wants children. She said she doesn’t know why she never had kids. On the one hand I have heard her say, she never wanted kids, on the other…she seemed sad for not having them.

What struck me is that no matter how successful we as women become out ‘in the world,’ in business…in whatever…we yearn to be moms. It was just an interesting group, and how we all were sharing our own thoughts about conception, babies, etc…it was an unexpected, moving conversation. (but we really know each other now!)😃

I just felt like sharing my newfound treasure.

Yes…it is surprising…like these aren’t my words…like God has invaded my body and is doing my thinking these days, and my talking.😃 It is weird…when it comes to everything else in our lives, my dh and I could surrender…jobs, this move to FL, tithing, raising kids, etc…but sexuality–funny how that one slipped by. I truly didn’t know the RCC’s teachings up until maybe 5 months ago, researching and learning on here. So…still no excuse. I knew using bc was wrong and went off it a few years ago, but knew that we were not having the intimacy through ‘what we were doing’ as we could have had. No wonder–we forgot God designed sex. Better late than never, though, right?

I hope you are doing well, VAC…I have been praying for you, ya know. I know things will get better…

I agree you haven’t lost it you have found it. God’s Truth!! What a great Evangelist you are for our Lord. Boy I bet when you started talking about ABC & NFP that really opened some eyes. And talking about Human Sexuality as a Sacred gift from God, wow!

As for more Girl parties, that’s just what happened tonight within an hour of our girls getting home from college. I guess it just happens.

Keep up the good work, God Bless.

Yes…you have lost it…

you know what you lost? You have lost the:

FEAR OF SHARING THE TRUTH

now, if I can only figure out where I put the “other it”…you know the one…

FEAR OF MAKING BAD JOKES

oh yeah, that’s it…I think I should probably hold onto that 'it".

Nope you have not lost it…but as others have said FOUND IT!
Good for you WG!!!👍

I like what Malia said.
You felt like expressing yourself and speaking the truth. That is great.

Remember that you were addressing several women, each in a different phase of life, or emotional state. They do not need to buy into your plan. Only you do. And good for you!!!

You received a few scrunched faces from the group…who cares? Chances are that in a group of woman, you will get a diverse reaction to that. Why do you need affirmation from everyone in the room?
Their reaction should have no affect on the truth and how you want to conduct your openness to life. I applaud you.

I personally think we spend way too much time seeking affirmation from others. God is speaking to you and seeks no other opinions.

If someone asked me if I would be thrilled about having a child in my mid 40’s, I’d scrunch my face also. But that should not hinder you.

God bless.

jrabs…I had not thought of this–thank you for your thoughts. Yeah, why do I need affirmation, and care what nay sayers think? Some women in the office came up to me, and said…so, are you still thinking of having a baby? hahaha Remember the game of telephone? How do these rumors begin? Now, if HR emails me a copy of our maternity time off plan, I will definitely think that someone has a big mouth 'round here. lol:D
