I have a sealed box full of porn, i do not know, but that’s what the tag says is in it.
i offer it for sale or even free. nobody asks for it.

I just sold the box to Frank, did i cause him to sin or did he cause me to sin?

Why didn’t you just throw it away? What point is there in having a “sealed box of porn?” I can’t judge whether you have sinned or not, that’s up to your conscience and your confessor, but I think you should have just thrown it away.

should have put let’s pretend.
the reason i have it is cause i know 100% some one else would have picked it up.

Put it in a trash bag and tie the top. Nobody knows it’s there but you.

Is this a hypothetical question? If so, I would say you are both at fault and both have committed sin.

If you sell it or give it to anyone else you are providing occasions of sin to others. We are 'our brother’s keeper." You were obligated to destroy the porn. Not to throw it away so someone might find it, but destroy it. To profit from the sale of porn to another person.
In selling it to Frank you have sinned against him. You have endangered his soul.
Hopefully you are not serious and this isn’t true.

I’m assuming this is a hypothetical because otherwise, you live in the universe where people’s pants pockets are filled mysteriously with drugs, cars speed by themselves, and women fall down stairs over and over again.

but even if a hypo, it’s sort of an odd one.

If you were worried about someone getting it, run it over with your car. Burn it. There are lots of ways to get rid of things permanently.

I agree with the others: you should have simply destroyed the items. By selling them to another, you have presented them with an opportunity to sin and have in fact participated in this sin.

Confession is a must. In the future, think before you do something so foolish. Consider the effect on another soul before you act in a similar manner the future.

Does this question have something to do with what recently happened in Germany?

Thanks to all who replied.
No i never had such “box” in my possesion.
i was trying to determine one’s responsiblity for the sin of another.
