I wonder why it shows that quote coming from me? I did not say that.

Ok. I’m still glad that people are showing up at all. How they view the Eucharist is their own issue that they have to deal with. I’m very worried about the Catholic church losing members, and I’m happy when people show up to church at all.

who was it that said it is better to have a few fully engaged Catholics vs a full church of lukewarm Catholics?

Do not worry about losing members. The church will survive. It will get smaller first to purify itself

Your post is shameful and insulting. The Catholic Church has not fallen and will never fall.

You do realize that much of the sexual abuse and the subsequent cover-up took place at the hands of men who were ordained prior to VII, don’t you?

A short general answer would be YES. Of course there are a few parishes around that show reverence but in my opinion it is lacking.

God Bless

Why not? It’s the truth.
I’ve never seen any proof of this.
I have see the popular graph showing the number of cases and incidents. It peaked well after Vatican II. The upwards slope started before Vatican II.
But I don’t know the ordination dates of those that committed the crimes.

I will say that the failure of the CHurch to accept the moral theology of the church during this time likely had a huge impact on the continued increase of cases.

I don’t think it can be pinned on one thing

I have found this…
