I discuss the subject – very briefly and move right along – at the various racing venues where I work, which frequently employ Pirelli Girls or Hawaiian Tropic Girls or whatever product girls in scanty costumes, becuse frankly that is what the predominantly male audience wants to see. One afternoon I was waiting to interview a youngish Irish driver and they were doing a photo shoot using his car and a scantily clad young Miss. I commented something to the effect that I wished I could bring my daughter (I dont have one) to a race track and show her some other way that girls could become involved in racing. He protested that the girls are not doing any harm and I asked with a smile, So you would have no problem if your daughter was walking around here dressed and made up like that? (He does have a young daughter). He looked startled, and I added, She is somones daughter, too, you know. Then I dropped the subject.

When my nephew was in his early teens – he has a sensible mother – he told one of the Hooter Girls who was at the track that it was a shame she was paid so little that she had to wear her little sisters clothes.

I like SWA and they are good airline company. My Catholic friend has been a captain for SWA over the past several years. Just because they put a picture of some under cloth girl is not enough reason to stop flying with them. It is a wise decision to write them a letter discussing your concern though.
