Have you debated a catholic theologian?

😦
Not cool in my parish. My Jesuit priest is constantly calling God “She”
I would report him to you Bishop, his superiors, and Rome. IN that order…

Or send me the info and I’ll do it for you…

Or even better, report him to Father Paqua on EWTN 😛

Then report him to the others…

Catholicism is for intellects. However, that being said, Protestantism has its fair share of a few accomplished and honest theologians as well. But they lose out especially when it comes to historical, Biblical facts.
Amen brother! That is one of the many reasons I long to convert is being able to use the full mind.

When I was but a wee lad of 16 or so, one of my good friends introduced me to his uncle. Maurice was the Cantor of Sacred Heart in Richmond, TX. We debated theology (amoung many other topics.) To this day, like my parents, Maurice seems to get wiser and wiser as I experience life.

There are sooooo many circular arguments here - same issues keep getting brought up - same non catholics keep repeating the same old lines, catholics keep giving the same old defences… neither seem to be able to hear or take on board what the other is saying (bit of a sweepng generality here, but hey its lunchtime, why not, you know what I mean). So I got to wondering, have any non catholics actually debated their points with a properly qualified catholic theologian, and if you did, what was the outcome?
I never did, but Luther did and won!👍
