From the USCCB Committee on the Liturgy……But after speaking to the Priest there is some sort of container in the ground outside, since then things have changed the church was added onto and they put that special sink in the sacristy. I am still not sure that any of this is exceptable.
334. The practice is to be kept of building a sacrarium in the sacristy, into which are poured the water from the purification of sacred vessels and linens (cf. above, no. 280).
In our Church the sink where we wash the sacred vessels after Mass empties itself directly into the ground as I understand it is supposed to do.
