Have You Ever Been Mistaken For an Angel?

I have, oddly enough, on a few rare occasions.

I love how some believers seem to love that scripture -
about entertaining angels unawares -
and so have this ‘ open possibility ‘ about it.

Me. I didnt particularly like it, when it happened.
“ This person thinks I’m an angel “ I thought.
And slowly backed out of the situational encounter.
 
Why would they think you’re an angel? Looks? Powers? Virtue? What credit cards you carry in your wallet?

I think of ‘whatsoever you’ve done to the least of my brothers, that you’ve done untio me…’ hymn from long ago. I loved that song as a kid and I"m now much older but it’s It’s based on this Bible quote:

New International Version
"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'

My own personal thought is we have all been ministered to by angels in ways unknown to us and the ‘flip side of the coin’ is that we hav all ministered to others in their time of need, whatever that need may be.

I remember a very strange man on a station platform telling me he thought I was God and asking for advice.
 
I haven’t been mistaken for a supernatural being. But someone has said i am like a monk. I of course disagree as i don’t imagine my self as possessing the spiritual strength of a monk. Then again, he was drunk.

My grandson told his friends in class that I was an angel, and my granddaughter asked, ‘grandma, are you really Mary? You’re so good and kind and you pray a lot”
There are a few people I hope will testify on my behalf when I finally face God. I just hope my husband won’t!!! 😆
 
When i was younger me and my brother were called little devils…
 
Someone thought I was an angel and my kids were asking why does she say you are an angel…then one of them said does that mean that we are part angel too??? Eyes as big as saucers! So cute. So it got me wondering if she thought an angel because she does not believe in saints?
 
On a bus in a remote part of India a friend translated to my sister and I what two small children were whispering and giggling about … “They look like angels ,and their cheeks are red like apples!!” 🤣

A person who is like an angel or an actual angel (which would imply an apparition)? Luke 23:
39 See my hands and feet, that it is I myself; handle, and see: for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as you see me to have.

A person made claim that I was their angel, after I helped them out on two consecutive problems that would’ve left them in a real pickle. The coincidence of our paths crossing at that moment was wonderful moment of synchronicity and had us both bemused in amazement.

Side note, I’ve also been mistaken for a thief, dating someone’s sister, an ethnic background (at least twice) that isn’t even remotely close to what I am in any form, professional athlete and buying a cow at an auction.

Angels are not humans. The people who tell you this are likely uneducated about the nature of Angels. Take time to teach them!
