Have you ever experienced a miracle of answered prayer?

Or maybe you know someone who experience a miracle ?

Yes!
When my wife was in excruciating pain from a kidney stone, I placed a relic of Blessed John Henry Newman on her back, while praying for his intercession, and her pain left, and she hasn’t had a kidney stone since. That was a few years ago. (Before that she got kidney stones constantly.)

Yes. My sister for a whole year looked and looked for a job and was rejected after 30 interviews. So she gave up hope and stopped looking for a job for at least a year. Then I started praying the Rosary for her to find a job and told her to start looking again. She pooed pooed my suggestion and said that no one would ever hire her again. I told her to try and the next day she applied to 10 jobs. A week later she had an interview. On the day of the interview I prayed the Rosary for her to get that job.

When she came back from the interview I was expecting the usual “didn’t get the job,” But she said it was a miracle, they offered her the job on the spot! She even said the women who offered her the job said she didn’t know why she was offering it to her. God’s answer to my prayer. The Rosary Novena is very powerful even if you don’t see results right away, but it sure is nice when you do see results right away!

I haven’t been blessed with any big miracles as a result of my prayers, but some of my prayers may have been answered with little miracles. For example, one day I was having a bad day and asked God to help me feel better. Then the clouds parted and the sun shined on me. I believe it was a miracle just for me, but it could have just been a coincidence. Another time my mother told me she was really stressed out about her work. I prayed for her to have a relaxing day at work the next day. When I saw her the next day, I asked how her work day went. She said it was a nice day and she was able to catch up on all her work. Again, it could just be coincidence, but it felt like a little miracle to me.

It´s an interesting question. Where ends luck or simply the grace of other people in situations of emergency and where starts god´s intervention?
I try to answer the question and I´m not sure…

I had one last year had massive problems with two friends I feel out with looked a dark situation and the St Jude prayers gave me the answer exactly and I mean exactly how I asked for it. I thought my life was really at a dark end and I would never be able speak to these good friends again. But God answered as promised and exactly as i asked for it, The way it was answered showed it was no coincidence and that it was God who answered.

Yes, I know of two. One more close to my family than the other, both of them dealing with medical issues.

One was from a lady that was a good friend of my mother. She had bad headaches for a while and finally the doctors discovered that her brain was covered in tumors. They actually had no idea how her only symptoms were just a headache instead of her just being in a coma or incoherent/immobile. One day while she was out of state to get treatment she just started crying and was just giving up that anything would ever work to make her well. As she was laying in bed Our Lady appeared to her and told her to stop being in despair and to pray. (She said Our Lady sounded more stern and motherly exasperated than she expected. XD ) The next day when she went in for evaluation and treatment all the tumors were gone and they’ve never returned.

The other one was from a family that went to my childhood parish. Their younger son was in a children’s hospital for childhood cancer (I pray that a cure be found one day.). The family found great strength in their son because he just stayed so joyful even though he felt so ill. The son had heard that a priest was coming to visit the hospital and he was known by some to have helped with healings in the past. The son wanted to meet with him one-on-one to talk and pray, so the parents arranged it with the hospital. The boy got his meeting and his parents found him beaming afterwards. The nurses came in to take him to his checkup a day or so later and he told his parents everything would be fine because Jesus had told him it would. He came back from that checkup with the doctors finding absolutely nothing wrong with him and he got to go home.

Yes,

When my mother was in labour with my younger brother it looked like she would need a C section. My father called a priest friend who prayed and the probability dropped dramatically. AC section was not needed.

This time last year I was facing redundancy. I mentioned it to my scripture group. In January I was still searching for a job, nothing seemed to be going anywhere. One of the members of my group said that she’d be starting a novena (? prayers at least). The next week I start to hear back. By the end of January I had a new job secured Thank God.

Yes, but not one that would probably pass the strict tests involved to declare it an official miracle. I’ve suffered with depression and anxiety and became fed up with taking anti-depressants as they were just making me feel worse. I prayed for Blessed John Henry Newman’s intercession and without realising it I stopped taking the medication and haven’t had a depressive episode since (nor did I suffer any withdrawal symptoms). I still suffer from anxiety but this is mild compared to the depression I once had and I still ask for Blessed Henry Newman’s intercession when I feel myself getting anxious.

It is good to ask others for prayer. Our parish has a prayer ministry that meets once a week to say prayers for petitions people have submitted. It’s such a blessing to have a dedicated group available for this.

When I was homeless and panhandling.

My wife is my witness:

I prayed “God, please let someone give me a $50 bill” within 5 min, lady with NY plates pulls up and gives me a $50 and a $20.

That same week, I prayed “God, please let someone give me a $100 bill”

Within 5 min, a guy hands me a crumpled up bill. I thought it was a 1 - I open it and it’s a $100 bill.

Either I experienced the most catastrophic coincidence imagineable, or God answered those prayers quite miraculously.

I almost picture Peter when Jesus tells him to go catch a fish to pay tax. Peter probably said “yeag ok” then probably had that sinking feeling when the fish he caught had gold coins in its mouth.

Maybe I’m easily impressed, but I would say countless times in small ways, but not always in small ways.

One of the bigger ones is this. My wife was diagnosed by two specialists as having a very serious disease. She was floridly symptomatic. Out of nowhere, her aunt asked her to go on a pilgrimage to a place whose name I’m not sure we can say here because the Church has not officially said the appearances there were genuine or not.

But regardless, one of the things that sometimes happens there is that rosaries will turn a gold color.

While my wife was on the pilgrimage with my aunt, an aunt of mine sent me a painting she had done when she was a teenager of some talent. She had given it to an uncle who died years later. The uncle’s daughter in a distant city treasured it, and asked for it in his estate. She received it and kept it for perhaps forty years. All of a sudden, and with no explanation, she returned it to my aunt who painted it perhaps sixty years before. With no explanation, my aunt sent it to me.

The painting was of Our Lady holding a gold rosary.

Not long afterward, my wife’s doctor tested her and she was entirely free of the disease. She has not had any symptoms or signs of disease these twenty-five years since, and her specialist says she has somehow become free of it. In the course of repeated follow ups, she told him she had been to the place of pilgrimage. He is Catholic and was utterly astonished by the whole thing.

Ridgerunner - A friend of mine many years ago went to that same place on pilgrimage, and her rosary turned gold also. I wasn’t a practicing Catholic then, so I just thought, “meh” and shrugged it off. I wish I could speak with her now.

Yes I have, even recently Our daughter, Hannah, experienced pain most of your life because of a curvature of the spine. By coincidence she works for a Chiropractor who would try to make adjustments to no avail. He did take ex-rays of her spine and sure enough it had a low but obvious curve at the base.

One evening at bible study my wife and a neighborhood friend decided to pray over Hannah. I was present but just watched as they practiced the laying on of hands in Jesus name. They laid hands on Hannah’s lower back and prayed in Jesus name, “Be healed!” Within a few moments our daughter began to motion to us that her back felt even more pain. They continued to pray for about fifteen minutes as they continued to lay their hands on her in Jesus name.

After it was all over, Hannah said she felt different. She wasn’t sure how different but different. She went back to the Chiropractor and took another ex-ray. The doctor was shocked. He too is a believer but not really walking with the Lord He compared ex-rays side by side and lo’ and behold, her spine at the base was straighten out. The pain she felt was the muscles which had grown around the spine in a curvature. But now the spine was straight and the muscles were not. Eventually the muscles flexed to the straightness of her spine and today she has absolutely no pain.

Our God is a healer and the name of Jesus is so powerful! We praise Him for His wonderful love and healing.

Yes, many many times in my family. (Mostly thanks to my parents and their daily rosaries)

Based on my recent experience, an ideal job I had my eyes on, first try, and an ideal (used) car on first look.
When you ask God to help you find something, you will certainly find it.

Yes. My brother has been living with a woman for 10 years, both are Catholic. He’s had no desire to get married. I have been praying for him, and they have decided to get married in the Catholic Church. His daughter just became engaged, and he and I are encouraging her to get married in the Catholic Church as well. She is very receptive. So prayer even has a rippling effect when it’s answered.

I don’t know if this would be considered a miracle but when I was experiencing bad marital problems ("second marriage for both of us) I cried out to God and reminded Him that He says in Eziekiel that He will sprinkle us with clean water and change our heart of stone to a heart of flesh…and I wanted that. It was very shortly after that that I became certain of my need to convert from my "husband’s Protestant faith to Catholicism. I still didn’t understand though the ramifications of our “marriage”. Once I understood that and told my “husband” things got even worse. He vehemently was against the annulment process the Church required to see if our marriage could be made valid. I then started fervently praying for God to send him Catholics to witness the truth to him. He certainly wasn’t going to listen to me, as he is the one who introduced me to Jesus. Within days there were two Catholics in his life…but they didn’t share their faith with him. So I continued to pray for more witnesses and two more, very faithful and knowledgeable Catholics came into his life. He respected them and listened…but only for a time. I thought we had him on the Eucharist…but his family reassured him it wasn’t so. He divorced me. In hindsight I see that his first marriage had no grounds for annulment and I believe God has protected me. Prayers for his conversion much appreciated.
