Have you Ever had dreams that proved to be prophetic??

It’s been happening to me my entire life … it scares me because I never know which dream is really going to happen.

I’ve had dreams where the details did come true in real life, but I wouldn’t go so far as to call them prophetic. My favorite was when I was a soph in high school. I had geometry homework with one particular problem that was kicking my butt. During the night I dreamed the solution, and when I got up, I worked it out. The solution that I had dreamed was correct 😃

Yes. I’ll find myself in an unusual situation and then realize that I dreamed scene some months before.
For instance, I dreamed of driving a full sized school bus down the crowded two lane main street of my little town. That idea seemed silly (especially at my age), but then a few months later I found myself doing exactly that!

I had a dream when I was at school, that my best friend and my other friend started bullying me. About half a year later, they did just that, made blog sites behind my back. I think my subconscious knew they weren’t real friends.

I think so. I dreamed of someone helping me with a problem. It was an unlikely situation. However, not long after that exact person noticed my problem and offered to help.

I also dreamed of another scenario that played out in real life but I don’t consider that one prophetic since there were signs, I just didn’t realize it at the time.

Haha, I wouldn’t mind that!

I once dreamed up an exciting plot for an adventure book. I was so impressed when I woke up in the middle of the night from it that I wrote it down on a piece of paper so I wouldn’t forget it by morning. The next morning I woke up, read it, and lo and behold, it was the stupidest thing I ever wrote.

Yes, there was a common factor of fictional characters from a certain franchise being there in the wacky part of the dream, and then the realistic part coming true.

The main thing is that I dreamt that I was attending a funeral of one of my dad’s siblings who had died, and then just a day or two later my uncle died suddenly (a tree branch fell on his head).

Yes, I dreamed that I would attend a certain school several years before I actually decided to go there and get a degree. At the time I had the dream, I had absolutely zero plans of going back to school at all, especially there. It was sort of like God suggesting something I might do.

My husband had a dream shortly after we met that strongly suggested we would end up married. My husband rarely ever remembers a dream so this really stood out.

Yes I have had these dreams at times, but it doesn’t happen anymore. Once I had a dream about getting a paycheck that was much more than what I was getting at the time. Within 6 months I got a new job and the new paycheck was the amount in the dream. Another time I had a dream about a certain place I had never been to. When a took a trip a while later I went into this place that was the same as my dream - same layout, person said the same words that were in my dream. (It was very specific - how likely is it that you go into a tea house, and the proprietor tells you that there used to be dog kennels out the back door? Yet that was both in the dream and really happened and there were more specifics.)

😃 😃

That has happened to me, too, both with story plots and pieces of music. I’ve dreamed tunes and lyrics that within the context of the dream were absolutely beautiful, but when I woke up – uff-da!

My dad was very upset when I converted. He died a year ago just prior to my Easter Vigil. I was very conflicted about disappointing him. Unfinished business. Just last night I dreamed he took me to Mass and that he was kneeling in prayer with me. I remember feeling overwhelmed with his acceptance. Dad was Baptist. I woke up with a smile!

My mother had a prophetic dream once. In her dream a stranger approached her and said: “watch out for march 29, something will happen that day.” My mother had her first stroke on march 29.

This dream of mine isn’t prophetic, but it’s strange, so I want to tell it. One night I dreamt that a stranger informed me that my neighbor died. I was in another city that time. When I arrived in my home city I was very surprised to know that my neighbor INDEED died.

Before I went overseas a long time ago,I drempt of an Abby in Ireland with a lake and then a few months later happened by chance to be visiting the same one as a friend decided to go there.I don’t think it really meant anything though.

I have had precisely one dream that turned out to be a glimpse of the future.

Happened when I was somewhere around 10. I dreamed that my mom took me to the local K-Mart, where I got to pick out a full set of the Power Ranger “Zords” that were the hot item at that point. Then, we carried them to the back of the store and into a bright light.

Two weeks later, Mom surprises me with a trip to K-Mart. She lets me pick out the full set of Zords, and we carry them to the back of the store to put them on layaway for my birthday. (We were pretty poor at the time, and someone had generously given her the money to do this.)

Absolutely floored me. And yes, my one “prophetic” dream to date was wasted on toys. 🤣

Had a dream that my ex-girlfriend was cheating on me. Like woke me up intense, and left me irritable the next day (which is very unusual). A few months later and guess what? She’s pregnant. And, we had been chaste. She wouldn’t give me details. Did a little digging, and a little math, and turns out it was right around the time I had that dream.

Simply a self fulfilling prophecy, not a real one.
A prophecy is not predicting a bus ride.
