Have you ever had dreams that proved to be prophetic?

I must apologize to this forum for my lack of descretion in feeding the troll. I should have known better than to do that. As a way of apologizing I here relate my first dreaming experience. FYI: this was not a “prophecy” in any way. I remembered the dream only after the real-life event had taken place, and that has been the case with all of my experiences. If you don’t think that this type of thing ever actually happens, you have my permission to chalk it up to my over-active imagination. But I digress. Here it is:

My dad was a hunter of many living things, ducks being one of them. I had a dream that he brought home a duck decoy that had wings on hinges that could be made to flap by pulling a string from a remote location. Now I knew that my dad was very frugal and did not go in for wasting money on silly stuff, so I thought that this dream was rediculous and very unlikely. Some time after I had forgotten about the dream my dad did indeed bring home a duck decoy with wings on hinges. When I remembered my dream, I realized that it looked exaclty the same as the one that I had dreamed.

Early on in my pregnancy (14 years ago), I had a dream where a good friend of mine who had died in 1999 was holding a baby boy. During the dream, I was really confused because I knew she was deceased and she never had any children. When I woke up, I was terrified that the dream meant I was going to have a miscarriage. Shortly after (I can’t remember if it was days or maybe a week or two), I had my first ultrasound. I was relieved to see my baby’s heart beating away. Then, my doctor informed me that there was a second fetal sac, but no baby developing in it (vanishing twin). Immediately, I remembered my dream. As the months went on, I enjoyed a very happy and healthy pregnancy and gave birth almost 14 years ago to my daughter. I am convinced that someone was telling me that my dear friend was taking care of my baby boy in heaven.

I had a dream I hope will prove to be prophetic (does that count? probably not 😉). I had a dream during a time when I was in a deep state of anxiety regarding my work among other things. I wasn’t really a dream but a sensation of overwhelming peace. It was peace that exceeded any sense of peace I have every experienced before or since. Poor analogy but it was almost like a drug with no side effects that completely left me in a state of extreme peacefulness where I somehow understood all my troubles were not worth the worry.

I hope I experience this again.

I’ve had several dreams about the Second Coming and related matters, but nothing that could constitute prophecy apart from the Second Coming being near.
