Have you ever had the holy spirit tell you to study the bible and learn ?

The holy spirit told me to learn the bible

When I was an adult.

How about you. ?
Have you had direction from the holy spirit?
 
Yes… it was the Holy Spirit or the souls of the Apostles Paul and Peter during the fasting before their feast on May 29th the past year. I would then listen and read the NT and it all added up to making sense to me. The emotion was however way stronger than my memory. But I hold it dear either way.

He tells me everyday, which is why I read the Bible everyday.
 
Yes, I have.

The Holy Spirit has spoken to me through various ways telling me to study the Sacred Scriptures.

I have two Holy Bibles in front of me as I type, and I will invoke the Holy Ghost prior to reading them.
 
Yes I’ve heard the Spirit. He didn’t teach me how to read the Bible though. He helped me come out of my terrible scruples. He makes me pick out the right theology books in the library, and makes me see the right sentences that help me come out of my scruples.
 
How did you respond? Have you begun to study and learn?
 
I wish He would tell me. I’d really like Him to!
 
One of the many experiences after receiving the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, was a greater love for the Bible. I felt drawn to it and it seemed to be alive.

My reading of the word allows it to speak to my heart, as if it speaks to me personally and addresses my everyday life so that I can live the life of the Gospel by being led by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is my teacher of the word, for only God can inspire and move me the way He does.

Yes the Lord has guided me to passages to read in the Holy Bible many a time.

I try reading as much as I can. But then again I have scrupulosity, so I don’t want to worry about whatever I’ve read. I think He wants me to know only particular stuff. He wants me to do Penance though, mediate and do the examen everyday though. I have a tough time with Penance because I’m scared ill be unhappy forever if I do it. I stopped doing the others because I had severe anxiety if I failed to do them even once. But now everything is better and I’m gonna start again lol.
 
Hi! I used think it’s cool or awesome only when I get a magical, miraculous experience. That God only talks that way. But no! Every good inclination of your heart is a whisper from the Holy Spirit! Ask Him the grace to recognise Him when He’s speaking. You’ll realize He’s speaking every moment of every day! Even looking at the sky and thinking how wonderful and benevolent God is to have created it is a direct inspiration from the Holy Spirit! He’s always with you! You needn’t hear Him to know that He wants you to read the Bible! He’ll speak through it anyway.
