Have you ever seen anything during the Consecration of the Mass? or thereafter?

I was at Mass on Ash Wednesday. While the priest held up the Eucharist and everyone said “Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.” I thought I saw the Host bleeding just above the tips of the priests fingers, I stared as much as I could, I am unsure if I was imagining it but it’s overwhelming all the same.

It was probably just your imagination, or something miraculous intended for your eyes alone, but it doesn’t really matter, because the real miracle is something that happens at every Mass, the transubstantiation of the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Christ.

Interesting. I don’t see anything, but here is what I experience more often than not. When our priest elevates the chalice, I smell flowers. I thought maybe it’s just the way the air currents flow in our church, but we attended Mass last evening at a different church and it happened there too. My wife doesn’t smell them.

We are encouraged to take this sort of thing to our Pastor. He will help you discern.

It may have been a trick of light, something perfectly explainable, but I look at it the way I look at the cardinals.

Everyone on my mom’s side of the family thinks that Granny is visiting from heaven when they see a cardinal (bird, not sports player). I’m queen sceptic USA, but, I let them have their little joys.

Lost my husband 6 months ago. I was having a really hard time at the end of January/early February. One morning, a cardinal flew up in our carport, right up to where I stood. I swear, he would have eaten from my hand if I’d had some some sunflower seeds. When I got to work BAM a cardinal right outside my window. Now, where we live, we see cardinals all year round, so it was not a migratory thing.

While my brain says it was simply coincidence, my heart feels maybe my husband was saying hi.

Last night during our Ash Wednesday Mass, just before we went forward to receive the Eucharist, I looked at palm of my left hand and started thinking that in a few moments, Jesus would literally be in my hand. I would be touching His body. I thought about all those in the NT, especially the lady who touched his hem, and how Christ felt his power go out of him. How touching his hem healed her. What more would consuming the Body and Blood of Christ do for me? It was awesome.
