Have you ever walked out of Mass? particularly Modern Masses where you couldnt bear the music or a certain Priest or sermon? or other reasons?
t. Theres also the unpleasant thought that being there makes it look like you approve.t say much for what the teachers think of the children. No wonder so many young adult Catholics leave if thats what`s dished out to them in the name of Catholicism! Well…I hope you find a good, reverent parish!is there any way to know just how prevalent these type changes are being made to the mass?
i have just recently left my lutheran church, am atteding mass and waiting for rcia this fall, and while certain “contemporary” practices are wreaking havoc in most lutheran churches, my pipe dream was that it would never occur in a catholic church![]()
Not trying to pick a fight here, but I think we’d be required to walk out under some circumstances. Anyone have a thought on this?I’ve never walked out of a Mass for any reason. I’m there for God, and I try to stay focused on Him, not the music, the talking (although it does get annoying and distracting sometimes) or anything else!I personally think it’s incredibly rude to walk out of Mass.
I would suggest that, if you can, watch the mass on EWTN which runs three or four times per day. You can stream it on your computer if it is not available on your TV. This is a good example of the mass.is there any way to know just how prevalent these type changes are being made to the mass?

same here. I’m there for the Eucharist. My priest told us one time that the reason our church was round was so that we could look at each other. Because Christ is present in each and every person there. I try to remember that when I find a priest I don’t particularly care for (which the only one I ever had issues with is now a very good friend of mine.) Or when there is something going on with children, but I love children and think nothing is more beautiful than their laughter and singing.I’ve never walked out of a Mass for any reason. If somethign serious enough was happening that we would be *required *to walk out, than it wouldn’t be a Mass. Not trying to pick a fight here, but I think we’d be required to walk out under some circumstances. Anyone have a thought on this?
