Have you got a gift for God this Christmas?

I think I will visit a nearby cemetery and pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for God to use as he wishes this Christmas. I know it isn’t nessarary to go to a cemetery. But, I thought it a nice gesture towards the souls in purgatory.
 
Why thank you for bringing this up! It is kind and loving to have a gift in our hands as we approach the King of kings in the manger on that holy night.

I have prayed for Jesus to have a special gift every year since I’ve come into the Church, and that’s been a few decades now. I usually start in Oct (our Thanksgiving is in Oct) and ask Him what special thing he would like for His birthday. We have seen some remarkable things over the years and when we sing out on Christmas Eve, *God is with us! *we know that indeed it is true.

I will, as I do every day, offer Him my heart, soul, and mind, and try not to take those things back to myself. And if I can manage to do so two weeks after spine surgery, I will go to Midnight Mass and sing “O Come All Ye Faithful,” even though I have a voice like a buzz saw.
 
All I have to offer is my heart. And it’s His, for as long as He wants it.
Thank you Jesus, for never giving up on me and sticking with me through all of my stubbornness.
