Ian Kerr, an English Catholic theologian compares receiving the Holy Spirit to getting a heart transplant.
“So in effect what we have here is an extraordinary promise that human beings, wounded by and suffering from sin, are going to be donated something that belongs to their creator. God as donor, will arrange for the transplant of His spirit into us.”
I just thought I’d share that analogy which personally I find fresh and thought-provoking.
I’m wondering whether my body rejected the transplant or not. Because there are days when I don’t feel charitable towards my neighbour.
