Have you heard of a "scapular pin"?

Hello all:

I’m new here so I hope I’m posting in the right place. 🙂

I know that most scapulars are the felt squares that you wear around your neck. However, when I was a kid my mom gave me a small, round pin to wear when I showed my horse. It was blue and I’m pretty sure it had some Latin on it, but no religious imagery (cross, heart, etc.).

A bunch of my things were misplaced after her death so I no longer have it, but now that I’m showing again I want to pay tribute to my mom by wearing one on my lapel. I’ve looked everywhere but I can’t seem to find anything close. I keep my spirituality pretty personal, so I don’t want to ride around with a cross or The Virgin on my coat. Does anyone know if what I’m looking for actually exists?

Thanks in advance for the help!

So far as I have heard and read, it is permissible to replace a scapular with a blessed “scapular medal,” but I’ve never heard of a scapular pin…

What country was it from, do you guess, and also was there a horse on it. If so, that was probably an equistrian pin. But some school pins have Latin like a school motto.

There are very small blue pins (enameled) of the immaculate conception.

Also WAF (Blue Army):

Thanks everyone for your responses so far! It’s great to see the community in action.

Jean Anthony: It wasn’t a crest as shown in the pics. No imagery, so it’s something different.

Vico: I’m very familiar with the blue Immaculate Conception medals. I actually still have a ring I got when I was probably around 5 that has one on it. 😃 Also, it wasn’t an equestrian-specific pin. Granted, I was 10 when I got it, but I wore it for 10 years and it was always referred to as a scapular pin. I’m assuming that it was US-made. However, the blue enameled pin in the Blue Army link you posted is about the closest I’ve come to it so far. 🙂

Thanks again! I’m still looking!
