I got this book from the free book rack at the library. I looked it up and apparently it was quite controversial in the Jewish community at the time because it was a well-known Jewish writer who was writing about early Christianity. It’s the second book in the series. The first one was about Yeshua (Jesus) and the third one about Mary. I’m just wondering who has read them and what your thoughts are about the books? I had never heard of them until I picked this one up yesterday. I’m going to be reading it soon, and I might look for the other two books in the series.

Interesting thing about the copy I have is that it has a note under the copyright (1943) that says that the book was published in full compliance with the government regulations for conservation of paper and other materials, which leads me to believe that it was printed during WW2.

“newcalling,”

I read two of the books, Yeshua and The Apostle many years ago, and I remember thinking that both were excellent, Now that you have reminded me of them, I believe I will read them again! Thanks you for bringing them to my attention!

I read them many years ago and I’ve thought about reading them again. There was a particular passage about Jesus in The Nazarene which has stuck with me for decades though I can’t remember the exact wording.

They are certainly interesting.

***“AbideWithMe,” thank you for correcting me on the name of the book about Jesus. As I said, it has been many years so I had forgotten the title. My, I would have had a time trying to locate a book with the wrong title! :hmmm:
