just watched it the other day for the first time.

not bad, pretty cute, kind of cliché but most Disney stuff is

what did you guys think?

I liked it, but I thought the voice of Elsa sounded too old for her character and it kinda weirded me out at certain points.

I watched it in Spanish with Spanish subtitles, pretty good. The “Let it Go” song is great.

It was an ok movie, not as good as it could have been. Too many times I was asking myself, ‘Why did they do that.’ Or ‘What was the point for that.’

yea,it was good but most of the words that snow man said was not necessary nor funny,

I grew up watching the classic Disney films such as “Cinderella” and “Snow White” in which the heroine marries the prince (and it’s always a prince) and lives happily ever after. Perhaps I missed it, but in “Frozen” I noticed that there is no wedding at the end. Just an observation of mine.

It was cute and fine for the little one we take care of. She seems to have the ability to remember things well and started trying to sing the songs immediately. It is one of the few things we let her watch.

That has been gone from Disney movies for quite some time.

Frozen was a great movie. Probably the best since Lion King. My daughters love it and I can sing every word in the car with them. 😉

I do like that movie. But a lot of it has to do with watching my kids like it.

I still like Tangled better. It wasn’t bad, though. I thought the snowman song was the best part of the movie. 😃

The theologian part of me is still analyzing the significance of the somewhat Pelagian ending whereby Anna basically saves herself with her own act of true love. But I may be overthinking it. 😛

I thought this was a bit controversial. (I have not seen the movie, but I heard about this)
Was that little throwaway scene intentionally ambiguous? Possibly. But it’s really only a big deal if one makes it a big deal. It will go over the head of most viewers. I like Steve Greydanus’ explanation of it.

I do agree that we will probably see more and more of these subtle ambiguous “shout outs” to the gay community in the future. As long as they are fleeting and ambiguous, I am willing to let it slide with an eyeroll (). I wouldn’t be surprised if the day comes where such things become more overt, though.
