So what do you think… is it fair to get married if you are worried about having a lot of children? Is it fair to refuse sex to your spouse because you don’t want to conceive?

Thanks everybody

I think that depends on how your spouse feels, don’t you?

But a Catholic marriage is obliged to be open to having children. No one is dictating how many or how often, but you should welcome them should they come along.

If you take a GOOD NFP class, these questions will be answered by you AND your spouse together.

Agree. Also there is NFP.

Refusing relations (husband or wife) is a sin unless there is good reason and avoiding having children isn’t one of them. However, if you mutually agree to abstain from relations during certain parts of the month it is OK. Keep in mind, you have to be open to having children, in marriage you are to produce children if capable.

Being open to children does not mean having as many children as possible, just to clarify for the OP.
