Please pray for me so that the Holy Spirit grants me the wisdom to finish this essay due Wednesday. Having a hard time with it. It’s on the Jewish origins of Catholicism, any links to resources would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, wisdom & fortitude in your time of need.

Prayer for Students

Under thy patronage, dear Mother, and calling on the mystery of thine Immaculate Conception, I desire to pursue my studies and my literary labors: I hereby solemnly declare that I am giving myself to these studies chiefly to the following end: that I may the better contribute to the glory of God and to the promotion of thy veneration among men. I pray thee, therefore, most loving Mother, who art the Seat of Wisdom, to bless my labors in thy loving-kindness. Moreover I promise with true affection and a willing spirit, as it is right that I should do, to ascribe all the good that shall come to me therefrom, wholly to thine intercession for me in God’s holy presence. Amen.

Gee, kind of a broad topic. The Passover meal and the Eucharist can be quite a few pages in and of itself. How long is this essay supposed to be?

Don’t know what grade/college year you are in, but happy to pray that this (and Google or Bing or whatever) will get you started and help you discern the “angle” that will make your essay the proper number of pages.

I’m sure I don’t need to pray that you will not plagiarize - pardon me for mentioning it just to be double triple sure.

Prayer to Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom

O Mary, Seat of Wisdom, inspire progress in johnnyt3000’s studies. I humbly ask you to obtain for him the grace of the Holy Spirit, so that from now on he can:

• understand quicker,
• retain more readily, and
• express himself more fluently.

May the example of his life serve to honor You and Your Son Jesus. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Anyone who claims to be a Christian or a follower of Christ is just a Little Bit Jewish under the skin whether they realize it or not. If you have read or have any understanding of the OT in relation to the NT then you will pick up on the relationship between the new and the old. The OT foretells of the coming of the Christ and Jesus fulfills the many propheties(sp) of His mission. in the NT. Read, read, read. Today is Sunday. If you have waited until now to write your essay you may have waited too long. P. S. This reminds me of my sister who also waited 'til the last moment to do her homework, stressed herself out and stayed up all night to get her school work done or expected others to “help her out.” Always get the hard stuff done first. Can’t say that I never did it, but it does not work well. I will pray that prayer and osmosis has a “trickle down” effect.
