Having dreams of fighting demons

I’ve Been having dreams periodically which is me going against a demon. It’s a presence in a place that Im at, things moving around, also someone who is demon possessed and I’m praying trying to get it out. My wife often awakens me because she says I’m moving and whispering something which I tell her in my dream I’m praying for the Lord’s authority to cast it out. What does this mean ? God has given me revelation through his holy word about humility, emptying of self, the principal of obedience to authority. Does that have something to do with it ? What does it all mean ?
 
Is your Home experiencing Demonic activity? Is you home blessed? Have you contacted a Priest?
 
If this keeps happening I would talk to a priest or a spiritual advisor about this. Clearly you are looking for answers and that’s where I would start.
 
Activity is only occurring in my dreams, we have long been believers in the risen Christ all our lives. We pray regularly both my wife and I. The dreams have only recently occurred for about a couple of years. We’ve lived in this house for 15 years. Nothing has every occurred in the physical. I read my bible occasionally and consider myself a student of scripture.

Have you been reading things or thinking about stuff that is related to it? For instance, reading about cases of possesion that may be influencing your subconscious? I’m just thinking of ways to explain what you’re dreaming about in a natural way before reaching other conclusions.
 
If you are grappling with a big decision in your life, or feel something is intrusive, this could be the source the dream. Many times, our dreamsscary dream are an attempt to solve a problem.

I’m actually at peace in my life and know what spiritual issues in the form of sin that i have to conquer. I have never felt closer to God than ever in my life. I’ve learned about heartfelt obedience and ridding myself of self. I’m not dying I’ve arrived by no stretch of the imagination but I know the very sourceof my salvation and sustenance, it’s my lord and savior Jesus Christ.
