Having Mass offered for non Catholics

Can we have Mass offered for living or deceased non Catholics? Living - for conversion, deceased, - in case they are in Purgatory and received the grace of perfect contrition before death. Thank you!

I just asked my priest a very similar question and he told me yes, you can have a Mass offered for anyone including non Catholics. I was asking about offering a Mass for a wife of a deployed soldier that has three special needs babies under 2 yrs old and is going through a health crisis. She has was raised in foster care and has no support system since they only recently moved to this area. I met her the day our husbands were deploying while waiting for the buses to come. She’s a Pentecostal but hasn’t attended church since she was a young teen. The priest is saying Mass for her this Sunday and she’s on our prayer list at church as well. I have also found several moms at church who are stepping up to help her out as much as possible with child care and meals, helping with appts (the 1 and 2 yr olds have 6 appts apiece each week and the 4 month old goes twice a week), and just being there for support. She’s got a clotting disorder and has other health issues going on right now as well. Combined with the stress of deployment it’s been a nightmare for her. If you would be so kind as to pray for her as well, her name is Krystal.

Masses can be offered for anyone, Catholic or non-Catholic, living or dead.

I had one said for my deceased father-in-law who was a lapsed Baptist. Lovely man. Go for it.
