Lord, I pray for holly. may You give her faith and love in the holy church. May You remind her that You love her, as you love all of your children. Amen.
 
Hi everyone. I need more prayers as I’m having second thoughts again.
 
Oh, dear…I had them for three years.

Surround yourself with the Faith, pray, pray, pray… Pray the Rosary, allow our Blessed Mother to bring you to her Son and Church.

Thank you for this advice and thank you for your prayers Dana. I really do appreciate it. I went to the local perpetual adoration chapel earlier and prayed in front of Jesus and that really helped me to feel better about my faith. I think I’ll visit the perpetual adoration chapel more often. 👍
 
Could you all please keep praying for me? I heard about a bad sacrilege in the Church in San Francisco recently and it has made me question my faith again. Please pray for me. 😦

There is bad everywhere in the world, don’t question religion, instead, look up to our Father and ask Him for guidance and His love. He’s there waiting for you always waiting to give you His love, understanding, and show You his compassion, but “you” have to hold up your end of the bargain too. “You” must love Him with all of your heart, your mind, and your strength…always, not off and on beinf swayed by what others may be saying, they are not Him. So please stop listeining to all the voices out there that only wish to tear Him down, they are the voices of the devil, who is trying to keep you away from your loving God.

Holly- Listen only to the Voice of Truth.

Father, please show Your love and mercy to Your daughter Holly today and always, and keep the devil from her as she tries to come closer to You. And please send Your ever strong St. Michael to watch over and protect her as her commitment to You strengthens. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
 
Just recently I read an article in one of my local deacon magazine’s…it was written by a man who was contemplating why he felt an emptiness in his heart even though he was very successful writer for a network news agency. He had everything a man could desire, a wife, family, good job, recognition, even winning an emmy for his writing…but something still was missing. Then it became apparent to him after attending a service at a local parish…he needed to become more active, not just someone sitting in the pews, someone who actively was working on his faith, not just waiting for him to be changed by sitting there idly. It also became very evident to him when he offered a fresh bagel to a homeless man, who he noticed shared half of what little he had with another homeless person…The scripture says…Luke 24:13 They recognized him in the breaking of the bread…
This homeless man’s actions…revealed to him, Christ in the Holy Eucharist…the source and summit of our faith. It also revealed to him that in order to fully be able to appreciate the graces of Christ who has offered Himself fully to us in the Eucharist, we have to take and eat and go out and serve the world. So don’t give up your Catholicism until you contemplate more on these words…without the Eucharist, we need the bread of eternal life, the cup of salvation in our life to be truly satisfied and fulfilled and it is only authentic in the Catholic faith…
St. Augustine said…our hearts are restless until they rest in God!

Pray on it, I will add you to my list as well.😉
 
Praying for you Holly. I would not trade my Catholic faith for anything. Hang in there and pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you.

Well everyone, I am back to Catholicism again after having left for a couple of days. I am really ashamed of myself for leaving. 😦 I left because my boyfriend told me that me being religious was driving him nuts. I think thats because I talked about it to him too much. So anyway I’m coming back and am simply going to not talk to him about religion. After all, St. Francis of Assisi said “Preach the gospel at all times. Use words when necessary.”
 
I get this too. Sometimes I get afraid that I am choosing the wrong faith. But I think it is a temptation from the devil. Tell your confessor about it and he may give you some good advice as mine did. I will pray for you.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

You know, I’m honestly beginning to wonder if I’m not possessed or something. I mean, I left the Church again today and am now coming back. Its like an endless cycle for me. I will definitely be telling my confessor about this.
