Unicorns folklore? Surely you jest. I’ve seen them trotting around on TV ads. If they are on TV, they must exist. Right?

Those wings are very insect-like. Just don’t grind them up. I’ve heard bad things about pixie dust.

If you eat trolls during Lent, not only is it permitted, but you also receive a plenary indulgence.

I’m pretty sure unicorn is off the menu on Fridays.

Say, I didn’t know about the plenary indulgence part. I might have to change my dietary plan. Hmmm… troll stew. Hmmm.

Eating trolls? Forum users beware. The time of our revenge is upon us.

We STILL haven’t come to any kind of decision on the suitability of animal hybrids, like the griffin or the chimera. Any thoughts?

Well, I would think the griffin is a rather obvious “no.” Aside from being a creature of such nobility that eating one might be sinful any day of the year, it is clearly a combination of two forbidden species on days of abstinence, namely eagle (fowl) and lion (mammal).

The chimera is questionable only because the creature’s tail is actually a serpent. I could imagine it being permissible to eat just the serpent portion of the beast on days of abstinence.

Just my two cents’…

"As far as the chimera, though it is permissible to consume the serpentine tail, the rest of the body remains unclean during days of abstinence. Griffin is right out. Seriously, it is both mammal and avian, making it two sins in one. What were you even thinking?"

NO! Nonononono, dear fellow! We would NEVER consider cooking and eating a chimera.

At least, not without roasted peppers and onions. And a fine mild-sweet dipping sauce.
