Haydock or Challoner

Currently, I am looking into picking up a new DR Bible, as I currently find my eyesight getting a little more spotty and need some larger print.
The two versions I am looking at consist of the DR Bible published by Baronius Press, and the Haydock Bible.

I currently own a standard size Baronius Press DR Bible, but find its print to small, and so was considering getting the “Large” version of it for the larger print. However, I am also interested in the haydock due to its commentary, bible dictionary, and large print.

In terms of choosing between the two, which commentary would you consider the more fruitful (i.e Challoner or Haydock)? And are the features of the Haydock Bible more ‘gimmicky’, rather than beneficial (i.e the bible dictionary and haydock commentary)?

I would not mind spending the extra money for the haydock, however, I also would not mind saving money on purchasing the DR Baronius Press Bible.

In your opinion, which would be the better buy?

This may be my ignorance, but I thought Challoner modernized (for his day) the English of the D-R, and so his version is the Douay Rheims Challoner version. Haydock then used this version as the basis for his commentary. If Challoner made his own commentary, I’m unaware of it, but I’m not well versed on such things. If I’m mistaken, I apologize.

If there is a Challoner commentary, I don’t know how it is so I can’t compare and contrast. I have found the Haydock Commentary very helpful. It’s actually available online. How often does someone come to these forums asking what the meaning of a verse is and Haydock is able to provide a concise but thorough traditional response. (He may provide a literal understanding of Genesis, given when he wrote, but whatever your thoughts are on that the commentary is still very good and often references Church Fathers). I have not read the commentary back to front but the passages I’ve looked up have good commentary.

As I wrote the commentary is available online so you can check it out before buying (or just use that instead). I’m not sure if there are large print editions of it.
